OVAE/DAEL Program Memo FY 2005-08 (PDF) - Federal regulations require that religiously affiliated (or "faith-based") organizations be able to compete on an equal footing with other organizations for US Department of Education funding for which they are eligible. The regulations, as stated in the memo, also specify the key principles regarding the rights and responsibilities of faith-based organizations that receive federal money. State Board for Community and Technical College processes and policies reflect these regulations.
