  • Introduction to Canvas for Faculty
    SBCTC eLearning offers a two-week online training course free of charge to faculty and staff affiliated with the Washington Community and Technical College system that covers the basics of using the Canvas learning management system. See the description on the course registration page for more details.
  • How to Use Open Educational Resources
    This course provides information and experience in using open educational resources (OER) in your teaching practice. We will discuss the concept of OER and open licenses. There will be plenty of practice in locating and sharing open educational resources. This is a 2-week online, asynchronous course and participants are expected to spend 10 hours to complete the course. For more information contact Boyoung Chae: bchae@sbctc.edu
  • SLOAN-C College Pass
    SBCTC eLearning purchases multiple college pass seats for every college.  These workshops are 2 to 4 weeks long. See workshop schedule. For more information, contact: Monique Kovalenko , 509-434-5155.
  • eLearning Faculty Learning Communities
    SBCTC eLearning is funding several eLearning and open educational resource related faculty learning communities in 2012-13. See the Assessment, Teaching and Learning Pages under the Instruction Division for more details.
  • Quality Matters
    Quality Matters (QM) is a faculty-centered, peer review process designed to certify the quality of online courses and online components. SBCTC elearning funds Quality Matters training and certification for each system college, each year.
  • On-Site Training
    SBCTC eLearning provides periodic face-to-face training opportunities on community and technical college campuses. Please contact your college eLearning coordinator for specific details on upcoming training events.
