The Washington State Legislature finds that it is in the public interest of the state to encourage
and facilitate the formation of cooperative relationships between business and industry and
educational institutions which provide for the development and expansion of skills training and education
consistent with employment needs.
Since 1983 the Job Skills Program (JSP) has funded customized training designed to meet the needs
of business and industry and to provide or retain gainful employment opportunities for new hires
and incumbent workers.
