Workforce Development / High Demand
Workforce Development Projects
Workforce development/rural and economically impacted community development funds are provided for the start-up or expansion of local high demand programs linked to economic development. Successful proposals need to respond to local economic development strategies and include a plan for continuing programs developed with the funding.
High Demand
High demand funds are designated to respond to the state's industry skill gap needs. High demand grants are intended to establish ongoing (permanent) funding for high demand, high cost programs that otherwise may not have been started or expanded. Increased capacity and successful graduation of highly skilled workers for improving the state's economy and competitive advantage must be the intended results.
