The Workforce Training Customer Advisory Committee (CAC) advises the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) executive director regarding use and allocation of Worker Retraining and Job Skills Program funds.

The committee’s advisory roles include:

  • Plan, coordinate and promote workforce education programs.
  • Serve as a resource to SBCTC to help the community, legislature, public and private agencies understand and support the needs of Washington’s workforce and its education programs.
  • Identify and expand resources for workforce education.
  • Evaluate and assess projects.
  • Recommend guidelines for funding programs and activities.

  • Representatives from business, labor and the community and technical college system each serve two-year terms.
  • Each member also serves on either the Worker Retraining or Job Skills Program standing sub-committees. Sub-committees meet as needed to review emergency or time-sensitive requests for funding.
  • Up to five non-voting members from state government organizations may serve at the discretion of the SBCTC executive director.

Regular meetings are held quarterly and are open to the public. Prior meeting materials are available by request from Julie Anderson.
