Community and technical college Board to consider increase of executive director’s
spending authority for Center for Information Services
OLYMPIA, Wash. – The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will hold a special meeting via telephone conference on Tuesday, July 15, at 10:30 a.m. to consider a resolution to increase to $400,000 the signature authority of the SBCTC Executive Director on behalf of the Center for Information Services (CIS).
Space will be available for the public session at the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, Olympus Room, 403, 1300 Quince Street SE, Olympia.
The Executive Director’s current authority for State Board spending is $100,000 for goods and services.
As of July 1, governance and management of CIS transferred to the SBCTC. The operations of CIS routinely require purchase and contract approvals exceeding the current authority level.
This expanded authority would apply only to CIS operations and not the balance of the State Board operations.
