December 18, 2007 - The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will hold a special meeting Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. to consider authorizing local colleges to provide temporary tuition relief for students in areas declared disaster areas by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The Board will also consider making a recommendation to the Washington State Board of Education that the third year of high school math be at a level that qualifies high school graduates to enroll in college-level math at the community and technical colleges. This will include opportunities to learn math in applied contexts.

November 30, 2007 - The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will meet on December 4 and 5 in Bothell to start the process for awarding applied bachelor’s degrees and consider changes to the five technical colleges in the state.

October 10, 2007 - The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will meet on October 17 and 18 at Lower Columbia College in Longview to approve budget priorities for the upcoming legislative session and to weigh in on the master plan for the Higher Education Coordinating Board.

September 6, 2007 - The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will meet on September 12 to consider approval of new initiatives that aim to improve student achievement.

August 15 , 2007 - The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will hold a special meeting to consider approval of Executive Director Charles N. Earl’s employment contract at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 24.
