Getting Started

No matter where you are in your educational journey, your local community or technical college has something to offer:

  • Adult Basic Education - Programs are available to help individuals gain the skills they need to read, write and speak in English, and compute and solve problems at the levels needed to function on the job, in the family and in society.
  • Continuing Education - Education is a lifelong journey. Continuing education classes offer the opportunity for anyone, regardless of their academic background, to explore the world through education.
  • General Education Development (GED) - GED preparation and testing is available for those who need to attain the credential for work or to further their educational goals.
  • Transfer to a four-year college or university - Two-year colleges successfully offer the first two years of a four-year college degree for thousands of students every year.
  • Workforce education - Two-year colleges provide students with the relevant training opportunities they need to enter or retrain for jobs in the marketplace.
