A set of technology projects was adopted by WACTC, based on recommendations from ITPG following a process that solicited input from all of the SBCTC commissions and councils. For each project, a system-wide team was convened to define functional requirements and investigate solutions, including vendor purchases and internal development. A matrix showing the projects and their current status is available at http://www.cis.ctc.edu/pub/ITPG_CollabProject/index.html
The Competitive Advantage Reclamation Initiative is a set of student-facing technology projects being advanced to test a rapid application development/deployment approach. The status of each project and pending requests for funding are posted at http://www.cis.ctc.edu/pub/groups/car/index.html
Following a reorganization of system governance in summer 2008, the Center for Information Services became part of the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges and is now known as SBCTC-IT. Updates on the reorganization and links to technical support for administrative applications are available at http://www.cis.ctc.edu/index.html
The system technology plan developed by the Technology Transformation Task Force was adopted by the State Board in August 2008. This plan makes recommendations on how our community and technical colleges use technology to support 21st century learning spaces, student services and administrative applications. The plan and other documents are posted on the SBCTC task force web page (scroll down to find Technology).
