CHRISTOPHER SOREN: All right. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to the July ctcLink Accessibility Forum. We appreciate your time. Let go and start sharing. All right. So first update today. I'm Christopher. Christopher Soren, the application support manager here at the State Board. And we report on what's happening over the last month, stuff we got going in progress. First off is the OAAP is the Online Admissions Application portal. And Okta is the more secure sign in that we're leveraging in production now. And we're looking to install it in front of OAAP, to provide some more secure authentication. And so some of the functionalities that will be affected are creating an account, some existing users getting logged in, as well as a new page under the account settings for users so they can establish phone number, to get that text notification. They enter in that code when you go to log in, probably that second factor for the two-factor. And so nothing else within OAAP is going to be affected by this. So we're currently testing this right now. We had an opportunity to review the changes for accessibility issues. Appreciate Josh for his time for reviewing those. So we were able to report those to Kastech, and they were able to fix them. So the review on the student side, everything looks good to go. So those issues won't be coming to production, since they've already been worked on. So any questions on that one to squash bugs before they go live? To build on that, also with Okta, so the account settings page that you go to, they originally said they were going to finish the redesign early in Q1 of this year. But they said that the progress had been stalled. So they planned to complete that prior to the end of the year. So development work is picking back up on that again. And they're also working with Deque-- on Deque on accessibility audits. So that's all still in process. Unfortunately, got stalled out, but I'm glad it's being picked up again. And some other work that we've got going on right now. So we're upgrading to Human Capital Management Image 49, an image is the update, not like a JPEG or PNG file. It's the phrasing in the PeopleSoft world. As well as Campus Solutions 32 and HCX or High Point Campus Experience, which is the mobile app, going to version 24.2. And that latest version that we'll be going to will be fully WCAG 2.1aa compliant. So we're working on install right now for the-- and the retrofitting on those images. And we'll be reviewing all of the accessibility related fixes that have been published from Oracle on those in High Point. And we'll be posting the accessibility image overview documents when it comes time closer to launch. These are both launching in the November time frame into production, but we're beginning that work. And not right now to make those happen. So it's a multi-month project, and we're making it happen. So I'm excited to get these updates into production and get them tested. So we'll be letting you know all the cool new features that are coming in and fixes. And that's all the updates for this month. It's a quick one. We got a little work happening, so we can-- we can get these updates out to you and get all these accessibility fixes coming. And so feel free to submit your ideas, online submission form. Happy to chat about anything you'd like. : Christopher, this is Vicki. I just wanted to let everybody know that I posted in the chat a link to past recordings because we had a lot of people come in today that were later, so they missed some of the content. CHRISTOPHER SOREN: Sure. VICKI WALTON: So if you keep that link on your desktop or something, you can always go and look at the recordings after the fact, if you've missed some content or missed a meeting. And they're always on that website. I've taken over the captioning part to make sure that it gets updated every meeting. And so that because Monica has a new baby, and so she has her hands full. So I've taken over the processing of the captioning to make sure those get posted. MARY: Hi, Vicki. VICKI WALTON: Hey, Mary, how's it going? Good to see you. MARY: Hi, Christopher. VICKI WALTON: So good to see you. [LAUGHS] MARY: Thank you for all your hard work, Christopher. We appreciate you. CHRISTOPHER SOREN: Thanks so much. Yeah, appreciate, Josh, and [INAUDIBLE]. Great. VICKI WALTON: It's good to see some friends, some people in here that haven't been here for a while, so that's awesome, like Mary. [LAUGHS] MARY: Well, I do believe spring quarter was sponsored by the seventh circle of hell, so I have a little more time now. VICKI WALTON: That's good. Well, like I said, you can always catch the recordings if you're not able to make the meeting. So they're always available now. CHRISTOPHER SOREN: And we have all the-- as well as the image overview documents that I mentioned earlier for the upcoming Campus Solutions and Endpoint and HCM updates. So we'll be posting those on that ctcLink Accessibility page, as well as the updated HCX VPAT. They work with the Perkins School for the Blind to get an updated VPAT for testing the latest HCX update. And we have that link to impose our website as well. Yet the current version we're on still has some work that needs to get done. It's not fully WCAG 2aa compliant, but the new version will be and excited to get that in. Yeah. So we got next month we got August 13. VICKI WALTON: OK, that seeing that date just freaks me out. Is it already-- are we already getting there? No way. [LAUGHS] Time flies too quickly. [LAUGHS] CHRISTOPHER SOREN: And then we have all the updates on the open tickets and stuff we have with Oracle. A lot of stuff with Oracle is going to be coming. These fixes that we've been submitting to them. And then they work on the bug fix, and then we implement them with these image updates we're talking about. So all these fixes that we've been submitting to them, we've kind of been waiting to get in, and we're excited to get them going, get them tested. And yeah, and so if they have any questions, please let me know now, or anything you want to hear about next time. We appreciate your time coming to our session today. VICKI WALTON: Well, thank you for hosting these, Christopher. Monica was going to be here, but she is home with the baby, so. CHRISTOPHER SOREN: Sounds good. Well, I'll see you all again next month then. Hope you all are beating the heat. [LAUGHS] And you have a nice week. VICKI WALTON: All right. Thank you, Christopher. CHRISTOPHER SOREN: Thanks.
