Bellevue College has demonstrated a deep commitment to equity and veteran support by securing a $1.2 million grant from King County to expand its services for underserved student veterans. With this funding, the college has developed the Military Community Assistance Program, which offers one-on-one case management, wrap-around support services, and up to $20,000 per eligible student.

In 2025, Bellevue College earned national recognition as a Leader College by Achieving the Dream, a network dedicated to advancing student success and equity in higher education. This honor highlights Bellevue College’s progress in closing equity gaps, improving student outcomes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The college has demonstrated measurable gains in completion rates by using data-informed strategies, incorporating inclusive teaching practices, and providing targeted support for underserved students.

To meet the growing demand for a highly skilled workforce in healthcare and cancer treatment, Bellevue College began offering a new Bachelor of Applied Science in Radiation Therapy with the first cohort in fall 2025. The college is the sole provider of radiation therapist training in Washington state and one of only two institutions in the Pacific Northwest offering this specialized training. This degree joins the college’s 14 other bachelor’s degrees in business, technology, healthcare, STEM, and design.
