Points of Interest

EvCC celebrated a milestone in 2025 as its first bachelor’s graduates crossed the commencement stage, with 10 students earning their Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Accounting. The college has also received state approval to develop a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science to meet growing industry demand.

In response to local workforce demand, EvCC restarted its one-quarter Nursing Assistant Certified course in 2025. Meanwhile, machining students are sharpening their skills for high-demand manufacturing careers, earning Everett a national spot in the prestigious Clash of Trades finals two years in a row.

EvCC’s first makerspace, opening in winter 2026, features cutting-edge tools and promotes interdisciplinary creativity, hands-on learning and community engagement for all students.

Bringing together performing arts and cosmetology under one roof for the first time, the Baker Hall replacement will be a transformative space that fosters creativity, collaboration and community engagement through state-of-the-art classrooms, salon and performance space. Construction is slated to begin in 2026. 

Everett Community College was named as one of 200 institutions eligible to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, recognizing high achievement among two-year colleges. 

EvCC students addressed food insecurity by funding and helping create a new Trojan Care Center, opening in winter 2026. Centrally located in the student union building, the center will offer emergency funds, childcare grants, benefits navigation, case management and a food pantry. 

EvCC’s Academic Credit for Prior Learning program has awarded 1,150 credits to 87 students since January 2025, helping learners turn work and life experiences into college credit.
