Sen. Murray talks college affordability at CBC, announces legislation

It’s those stories, and many others, that U.S. Sen. Patty Murray said Wednesday at Columbia Basin College led her to introduce legislation that, if approved, would make community college tuition-free, allow student loans to be refinanced at lower rates and take other steps to reduce the burden of earning a college education.

WWCC wine wins big in international competition

College Cellars, the teaching and retail winery at Walla Walla Community College, had the legs to walk away with high honors for one of its wines at the 2016 TEXSOM International Wine Awards in Dallas. Its 2013 Clarke Vineyard Merlot ($22) won a gold medal, best of class and top Washington wine.
