Funding roundup: NOAA grants

NOAA has awarded $60 million in funding to help train and place people in jobs that advance a climate-ready workforce as part of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda under the Inflation Reduction Act. News: North Seattle College

Dr. Rachel Solemsaas, who had been serving in an interim president capacity since September 2023, was named permanent president at North Seattle College, effective July 1. The announcement coincided with the naming of Dr. Bradley Lane and Dr. Monica Brown as permanent presidents of Seattle Central College and South Seattle College, respectively.
