Spokane Colleges awarded Avista Foundation grant to develop Indigenous Healing Centers
Spokane Colleges announced Thursday that it has been awarded a $10,000 grant from
the Avista Foundation that will be used to develop Indigenous Healing Environments
Across Lifeways (IHEAL) Centers at Spokane Falls Community College and the Inchelium campus of Spokane Community College.

Whatcom Community College in northern Bellingham also has a pleasant campus to visit. The WCC Campus Art Walking

The Boeing Company has awarded a $250,000 grant to Renton Technical College (RTC) to support the expansion of the Renton Promise program. Renton Promise offers up

DataPoints: Community college revenues
Public community colleges received $79 billion in total revenues during fiscal year
2023-24. An analysis by the American Association of Community Colleges of newly released
data from the National Center for Education Statistics shows that roughly one-third
of those revenues came from state government sources, one-quarter from local government
sources and 20% from tuition and fees.

Washington Watch: All community colleges exempt from new IPEDS survey
Reporting for a new Education Department data survey will be limited to institutions
that “primarily” award bachelor’s degrees or higher, exempting all community colleges,
including those that are mainly associate-degree institutions but offer limited baccalaureate
programs.
