Highline College mourns death of former President Dr. John Mosby
Highline College announced this week that former President Dr. John R. Mosby died Monday, May 4, 2026. Dr.
Mosby served as Highline College’s seventh president from July 2018 until December
2025. According to the college, he was the institution’s first president of color
and led the school through a period marked by growth and significant challenges, including
the COVID-19 pandemic, racial equity initiatives, the transition to ctcLink and a
successful accreditation process.
