New chancellor named for UW Tacoma. She’s known for commitment to diversity, equity

Sheila Edwards Lange will become the new chancellor for the University of Washington Tacoma. ... Edwards Lange is from California and moved to Washington in 1987. She is the current president for Seattle Central College and is well known in the UW community for serving as the university’s vice president for Minority Affairs and Diversity from 2007 to 2015.

CBC offering $10,000 in college scholarships for COVID vaccinations

... [Columbia Basin College] The college is sweetening the pot as well. The first 100 people will get a $50 gift card, and college students can get a chance for a $1,000 scholarship. The State Board of Community and Technical Colleges set $10,000 aside for the college to distribute as an incentive to get college students vaccinated.
