to these guest editorials. Well, let me break some big news right here: Centralia
College is a trade school.

grants. The latest grant to come in is a $200,000 Job Skills Program Grant which will

Yakima Valley’s crops, bees are put at risk during heat wave
... Yakima Valley College instructor Holly Ferguson, who researches pollinators, said heat can be a real problem
for the busy bees responsible for helping crops to grow. “If it’s real hot for an
extended period of time, then they are possibly in danger of perishing in the heat
because their bodies can’t control their internal temperature like humans can,” Ferguson
said.

Hwang appointed student trustee on Edmonds College Board of Trustees
Gov. Jay Inslee appointed Shinhae Hwang to the Edmonds College (EC) Board of Trustees as the 10th student trustee. Hwang’s term began July 1 and runs
through June 2023. Hwang is a native of Seoul, South Korea.
