Community and technical college board to vote on applied bachelor's degrees

Community, technical college board to select executive director

The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will select the college system's new executive director at its regular meeting Thursday, May 11. Jack Hershey, president and CEO of the Ohio Association of Community Colleges, and Jan Yoshiwara, deputy executive director for Education at the State Board, are finalists for the position. The new executive director will replace Marty Brown, who is retiring after nearly five years on the job. >>

State Board to take action on capital budget prioritization criteria

The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will hold its regular business meeting on Thursday, Jan. 19. On the agenda are revisions to the college system's capital budget scoring criteria. The criteria provides guidance to the system as it creates its prioritized list of capital projects to go to the Legislature. The board will also discuss the addition of six applied bachelor's degrees. >>
