Overview

This interactive organizational chart provides an accessible overview of the Washington Association of Community and Technical Colleges (WACTC) structure and its partnership with the Presidents’ Assistants for Community and Technical Colleges (PACTC). It includes the Board of Presidents, commissions, and councils. Content is organized using expandable sections to support easy navigation and compatibility with assistive technologies.

 

The Business Affairs Commission (BAC) operates under the Washington Association of Community and Technical Colleges (WACTC) and provides leadership for the following councils:

  • Bookstore Council
  • Budget, Accounting & Reporting Council (BAR)
  • Operations & Facilities Council  (OFC)
  • Purchasing Affairs Council (PAC)
  • Safety, Security & Emergency Management Council (SSEMC)

The strong emergence of executive-level equity officers across many of our colleges helped to establish the first Diversity and Equity Officers Commission (DEOC), a formal statewide collective that meets regularly throughout the year and reports directly to the Washington Association of Community and Technical Colleges (WACTC) Presidents group. 

The Human Resource Management Commission (HRMC) reports to the Washington Association of Community and Technical Colleges (WACTC) and includes the chief human resource administrators from the state community and technical colleges and districts.

The Information Technology Commission (ITC) works to enhance the effective use of information technology in the community and technical college system.  ITC operates under the authority of the Washington Association of Community and Technical Colleges (WACTC) and provides leadership for the following council:

  • Security Council

The Washington Association of Community and Technical Colleges Public Information Commission (PIC) is a commission of the Washington Association of Community and Technical Colleges (WACTC) Presidents group.

The Washington State Instruction Commission (IC) for Community and Technical Colleges exists to enhance instruction and library/media services within the community and technical colleges of the State. The Instruction Commission is directly responsible to the Washington Association of Community and Technical Colleges' presidents (WACTC) through a liaison appointed by the president of WACTC and provides leadership for the following councils:

  • Articulation & Transfer Council (ATC)
  • Baccalaureate Leadership Council (BLC)
  • Council for Basic Skills (CBS)
  • Continuing Education Council (CEC)
  • eLearning Council (ELC)
  • Library Leadership Council (LLC)
  • Workforce Education Council (WEC)
  • Dual Credit Council
(DCC)
    • DCC is co-opperated under IC and WSSSC

 The Washington State Student Services Commission (WSSSC), a commission of the Washington Association of Community and Technical Colleges (WACTC), is comprised of the chief student services officer (or designee) from each college and provides leadership for the following councils:

  • Admissions & Registration Council (ARC)
  • Advising & Counseling Council (ACC)
  • Financial Aid  Council (FAC)
  • Council of Unions & Student Programs (CUSP)
  • Career & Employment Services Council (CESC)
  • Disability Support Services Council (DSSC)
  • Multicultural Student Services Directors Council (MSSDC)
  • Veteran & Military Services Council (VMSC)
  • Dual Credit Council
(DCC)
    • DCC is co-opperated under IC and WSSSC

The Research and Planning Commission (RPC) is a commission of the Washington Association for Community and Technical Colleges (WACTC).
