Legislative Outreach
The Government Relations unit manages state and federal government relations for the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges as part of the executive director's team.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Interacts with legislators, legislative and governor’s staff, agencies and organizations on behalf of the system and individual colleges as appropriate.
- Prepares a single comprehensive legislative agenda for the community and technical college system.
- Coordinates legislative interaction of State Board staff and college representatives.
- In collaboration with communications staff, coordinates system-wide messaging.
