Dr. Kim Bobby, Principal with AGB Search and Justice, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Senior Advisor for the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges. AGB Search exclusively focuses on conducting executive searches in partnership with colleges, universities, systems, boards, and related foundations across the country. Dr. Bobby leads the facilitation of the AGB JDEI initiative's internal development across all association sectors, including search, marketing, communications, content development, program development, consulting, membership experience, human resources, and operations and finance. Dr. Bobby has served in progressive leadership roles in higher education, K-12, associations, and foundations, all with a shared focus on advancing inclusive leadership, diversity, equity, and inclusion. These roles include serving as chief of staff for Prince George's Community College, director of the Inclusive Excellence Group at the American Council of Education, chief diversity officer, associate professor in the School of Education, and founding director of Access Programs at the University of Puget Sound. She served as director of Business and Community Relations, special assistant to the Chancellor for the New York Board of Education, and an educational consultant for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the College Success Foundation Achiever's Program for the State of Washington.
Dr. Bobby has written and spoken on leadership development, creating an inclusive campus climate, appreciative inquiry, and developing effective leadership programs as a pathway to achieving diverse campus leadership teams.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Bobby received her doctorate in educational administration and policy studies from the University of Washington in Seattle, her master's in educational administration from California State University, Sacramento, and her BA in business administration management from California State University, Fresno.
