Everett Community College is the home of the Washington State Center of Excellence for Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing, which unites the aerospace and advanced manufacturing industry, labor, and higher education to create a highly skilled workforce. The center and the college are at the forefront of innovation of Washington’s $70 billion aviation and advanced manufacturing industry. In addition, EvCC became the first community college in the nation to provide training for students learning how to protect physical infrastructure from cyber attacks using real industrial components and networks. EvCC Information Technology students use the college’s industrial cybersecurity training system. The heart of this system is a 15-foot interactive wall replicating a small manufacturing company’s industrial components, hardware, software, and networks.
