Strategic Technology Advisory Committee
The Strategic Technology Advisory Committee (STAC) serves as an advisory resource and coordinating body for the Washington Community and Technical Colleges (WACTC) presidents regarding system-wide technology planning, selection and investment decisions. This committee advises the WACTC Technology Committee (WACTC-Tech).
Current Initiatives/Projects
The Strategic Technology Advisory Committee (STAC) serves as an advisory resource and coordinating body for the Washington Community and Technical Colleges (WACTC) presidents regarding system-wide technology planning, selection and investment decisions. Currently the committee is working on the following:
- WACTC solution for Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)
- Guided Pathways solutions
- A continuous process for Strategic Technology Planning
- Communication and decision processes for WACTC technology issues/strategies
- Integration of projects related to Educational Technology (EdTech) and Accessibility (CATO)

Membership
The Strategic Technology Advisory Committee is comprised of 20 voting members, including two representatives from each WACTC Commission (14), the SBCTC Chief Information Officer, and up to five subject matter experts from SBCTC. Non-voting representatives from subcommittees or ad-hoc working groups are also designated to participate on the committee.
