GHC graduation honors college and Running Start graduates
This Friday, as Grays Harbor College holds their virtual and drive-thru graduation events, local high school students
will also be celebrated. On June 25th , 2021, GHC will graduate 95 high-school seniors
from Grays Harbor and Pacific County schools with a total of 103 Associate degrees.

Jim Lowery receives honorary bachelor's degree from Centralia College
Centralia College on Friday conferred an honorary bachelor's degree to Jim Lowery at its commencement
ceremony. The honorary bachelor's degree in applied management is in recognition of
his service to the college. “Jim has been a strong advocate for Centralia College
offering bachelor’s degrees, so it’s very fitting for him to be receiving an honorary
bachelor’s degree himself,” said Dr. Bob Mohrbacher, Centralia College president.

On Tuesday, June 22, Clover Park Technical College will celebrate the achievements of its Class of 2021 at the Celebration of Graduates.
The 2021 commencement event honors CPTC students and invites their families to join
in the festivities. “The completion of studies is always a time for both celebration

Seattle Central College celebrates students with in-person graduation
Seattle Central College celebrated the class of 2021 with one of the few in-person graduation ceremonies
offered in the western Washington region. Seattle Central College was the last of
the trio of Seattle Colleges to hold commencement on Saturday, with North Seattle College holding theirs earlier that day and South Seattle College having its commencement June 18.

WWCC announces COVID-19 vaccination policy
Walla Walla Community College won’t require COVID-19 vaccinations as a condition of enrollment or employment this
fall, although it strongly recommends the practice. WWCC President Chad Hickox announced

A jump for summer?
Spring enrollment for undergraduates this year was down nearly 5 percent from last
year, according to the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center. That is roughly
10 times the decline experienced from spring 2019 to spring 2020. Community colleges
were the hardest hit, losing more than 9 percent of their students.
