State Board to hear legislative, budget updates following 2022 session

OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will hold its regular business meeting Thursday, March 31 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. On the agenda are updates following the 2022 legislative session, including bills affecting the college system and the supplemental operating and capital budgets. The board is expected to take action to distribute capital project funds, including $13.2 million for the Pierce Ft. Steilacoom Olympic South building. 

State Board members will also hold a study session Wednesday, March 30 from 1:15 to 5 p.m., during which they'll hear updates on the 2023-25 operating budget development, textbook affordability, ctcLink progress, and the State Board's executive director search.

The meetings are open to the public and will be held remotely by Zoom. The meeting agenda and background materials are posted on the State Board's website.
