OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will hold its regular business meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 20. The State Board is set to review and vote on recommendations to revise the allocation model, which takes a systematic approach to dividing and distributing funding to Washington’s 30 community and technical college districts.
The State Board is also scheduled to vote to authorize local capital expenditures by Tacoma Community College and Bellevue College for refurbishing and repairing existing facilities. Additionally, it will consider updates to the wording of the State Board-sponsored retirement savings plans to comply with the 2025 updates of the SECURE Act 2.0 and a roundtable discussion of the State Board's monitoring report on tracking the use of project funds.
Following the business meeting, the State Board will hold its annual retreat on Aug. 21. to discuss board governance and relations with the new State Board Executive Director, Nate Humphrey.
The board will meet at Heathman Lodge, 7801 NE Greenwood Drive in Vancouver and live-streamed on Zoom. The meeting agenda and background materials are posted on the State Board website.
