February 06, 2018 by SBCTC Communications

OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will convene its regular business meeting Thursday, Feb. 8 from 8 a.m. to noon. On the agenda is final consideration of applied bachelor's degrees — early childhood education: infant and child mental health at Green River College in Auburn and human services at Clark College in Vancouver.

The board will also hear statements of need for applied bachelor's degrees at Clark College for early childhood education: infant and toddlers and Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood for interior design.

Prior to its regular business meeting, the board will hold a study session Wednesday, Feb. 7 on developing the college system's 2019-21 operating budget. This will ultimately serve as the system's request to the Legislature for the 2019-21 biennial budget allocation.

The study session and business meeting will be held at the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges office, Cascade conference room, 1300 Quince Street SE in Olympia. Meeting agenda and background materials are posted at the State Board website.

Both meetings are open to the public.
