State Board to vote on 2021-22 budget allocations

OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will meet for its regular business meeting Thursday, June 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Board members are set to vote on the college system's 2021-22 state operating and 2021-23 capital budget allocations. The board's approval will distribute funding to colleges.

The board is also scheduled to take action on 2021-22 Workforce Education and student support programs awards and allocations and Basic Education for Adults federal awards. The Workforce Education state and federal funding targets programs supporting entry-level training, skills upgrade or retraining for the state's workforce. Basic Education for Adults funding supports adult and family literacy programs under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

The board will also hold a study session, Wednesday, June 23. Members will discuss the 2021-23 capital budget allocation to the college system and ctcLink, the system's integrated computer software system.

The meetings will be held by Zoom. The meeting agenda and background materials are posted on the State Board website. Both meetings are open to the public.
