State Board to vote on college property resolutions, continues discussion on equitable outcomes
OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will meet for its regular business meeting Wednesday, March 24 from noon to 5:15 p.m.
Board members will vote on the following four resolutions relating to college property acquisition, expenditures and leasing:
- Columbia Basin College’s request to use up to $20,000 in local funds to purchase the property at 840 Northgate Drive in Richland, Washington
- Green River College’s request to use up to $2,930,000 in local funds to renovate the Student Affairs area of the Administration building
- South Puget Sound Community College’s request to use up to an additional $1,000,000 in local funds to complete renovations of the Dr. Angela Bowen Center for Health Education building
- North Seattle College’s request to lease property rights to the Bellwether Chief Seattle Club for construction, maintenance and operation of affordable housing on the North Seattle College campus.
An additional resolution to acknowledge Dr. Wayne Martin for his years of service to the State Board will also take place.
Board members will hear a presentation about Strategy #1 of the Strategic Plan: Implement actions, policies, and investments that produce equitable outcomes.
The meeting will be held remotely by Zoom and streamed live on TVW. The meeting agenda and background materials are posted on the State Board website. This meeting is open to the public.
