SPEEA Program Information for Students

Are you a parenting student with childcare needs enrolled in an Aerospace program at one of the following community and technical colleges?
In partnership with Washington’s public colleges, SPEEA Aerospace Career Enhancement (ACE) provides childcare assistance for students seeking high demand degrees that support the aerospace industry.
Eligible students can receive up to $5,000 in childcare assistance per year.
Eligibility
You may qualify if you are attending one of the participating community and technical colleges listed above in Washington state and:
- are pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, Masters, or Doctorate degree in support of achieving a career in the aerospace industry. SPEEA ACE Childcare Scholarship Funds cannot be used for students only attending a flight training school or students in Running Start intending to use the funding while still in highschool.
- have dependent children in need of childcare.
Services
Services vary depending on the college you attend. You may receive:
- Childcare Scholarship up to $5,000 per year
- Navigation support in applying for other funding to help meet immediate, short-term, and/or long-term basic needs such as housing, food, transportation, etc.
