2026 Curriculum Development Summit
The Intertribal Natural Resrouces Curriculum Develop Summit's mission is to center the sovereignty, voices, educational pathways, and current
and future natural resources workforce curricula needs of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, Spokane Tribe of Indians, the Kalispel
Tribe of Indians, and the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation. Ensuring local colleges are meeting current
and future workforce needs.

2026 Summit
Seattle Colleges is hosting a Government-to-Government Summit to strengthen partnerships with Tribes and support Tribal students across its three colleges. The summit centers Tribal voices and advances collaborative efforts to promote student success and equity.

2025 Summit
Spokane Colleges, in collaboration with the Washington State Board for Community and
Technical Colleges, proudly hosted the Government-to-Government Natural Resource Summit.
This gathering brought together Washington Tribal leaders, college presidents, faculty, staff, and students to strengthen workforce development alignment and create stronger educational and career pathways between Tribal communities and the state’s community and technical colleges.
With panels focused on Tribal student success, Indigenous life ways, natural resource priorities, and educational partnerships, the summit centers Indigenous voices and aims to uplift traditional knowledge while advancing equitable access to education and workforce development.

2024 Summit
The first annual statewide Government to Government Summit between Washington Tribes and college leaders will by hosted at The Evergreen State College.
We are partnering on annual summits with the goal to build meaningful relationships in higher education with Washington Tribes. The vision of these summits is to advance local Indigenous knowledge(s) and improve access and pathways to post-secondary education, and career and technical training in ways that serve our Indigenous communities.
When: June 18, 2024, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
