The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026. The State Board is set to review and vote on local capital expenditures for Seattle Central College, Lake Washington Institute of Technology, and Peninsula College, and will hear a presentation on 2027-2029 operating budget priorities. The meeting will conclude following two executive sessions.
After the special meeting, the State Board will hold its annual retreat Wednesday afternoon and Thursday, Aug. 20, to discuss board governance and their annual work plan.
The meetings will be held in the Kaminski Conference Center at Yakima Valley College, W Nob Hill Blvd &, S 16th Ave, Yakima, WA 98902. The special meeting on Wednesday will be streamed on Zoom and TVW. The meeting agenda and background materials are posted on the State Board website.
