The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) will hold its regular business meeting on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
About the meeting
During this time, board members will:
- Vote to approve or not approve several resolutions related to expenditures, construction, awards and allocations, and a bylaw change.
- Hold public comment.
- Discuss and vote on:
- Fiscal year 2027 operating budget and enrollment allocations
- A policy update to the emergency reserve fund
- The next State Board Chair and Vice Chair for 2026–2027
- Hear updates:
- From Association of College Trustees (ACT), Washington Association for Community and Technical Colleges (WACTC), Washington Education Association (WEA), and American Federation of Teachers (AFT)
- On financial health measures
- From the SBCTC Executive Director and State Board Chair
Board members will also hold a study session on Wednesday, June 3, and discuss the Strategic Plan Monitoring Report; awards and allocations for Workforce Education and Basic Education for Adults; and hear a legislative update.
