Professional & Personal Development Workshops

What’s the difference between professional and personal development? Why does it matter in the workplace?

  • Professional development helps employees gain new or expanded workplace skills
  • Personal development enhances employee aptitude in non-technical or “soft skills” areas

Employers seek employees with soft skills

It is these soft skills that can build stronger teams, boost morale, improve communications, maintain our own psychological safety while in the workplace, reduce stress, and assess when we need refreshers to reset our mind frame.

In fact, 84% of employees and managers believe new employees must possess soft skills and be able to demonstrate them in the hiring and recruiting process

Do it for yourself!

Washington community and technical college employees, like the students we serve, are encouraged to be lifelong learners. Eligible employees can take advantage of these free professional and personal development workshops to network, share best practices, aim for career advancement, and more.
