20.20.50 Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS)

The community and technical college system implemented the PeopleSoft-integrated Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) product to allow the colleges to develop budgets and reporting for management purposes.

PBCS allows the State Board to enter global Workforce Assumptions for standardized taxes and assessment, healthcare costs, step rates and COLAs. This ensures every college uses the same assumptions for employee costs.

Colleges manage the:

  1. Workforce Assumptions local COLA tables
  2. Workforce Expenses section and
  3. Expense and Revenue Planning section

A number of reports are available for budget analysis, variance or status.
