BEdA Canvas Asynchronous Trainings
These courses are asynchronous and open all year.
Following are specific trainings provided by BEdA staff. Each training lists the BEdA Staff that are involved in that training. If you have general questions regarding our trainings, please contact Christy Lowder.
This fully self-paced, asynchronous training course will help you to better understand why Basic Education courses are required to align their instruction and outcomes with the federal College and Career Readiness Standards, where those standards came from in the first place, and how you can effectively, and in a student-centered way, introduce these standards into your classroom practices either on a large, program-wide scale, or on a smaller, day-to-day scale, depending on your role at your institution.
This training is available for enrollment on an as-needed basis - it is offered via the Canvas Learning Management System and is available for registration between 9/18/26-6/9/27. While it's asynchronous, it's designed to be completed in about 15 hours over the course of 6 weeks, and the training must be completed by 6/9/27.
