Businesses that provide employment opportunities in Washington state may be eligible for interest-free training loan assistance for customized contract training from community and technical colleges or certain Washington-located, private career school or colleges.
The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) administers the program funds under RCW 82.04.449.
The Customized Training Program Guidelines provide detailed information about how grant funds can be used, who can apply, the application process and deadlines.
The Guidelines for Invoicing the SBCTC for the Customized Training Program provide information on how to invoice the SBCTC for reimbursement.
The training institution submits the application. Applications are accepted at any time and are reviewed by SBCTC as they are received. Training allowances are committed on a first-approved, rolling basis.
Each approved application results in a three-party contract for customized training services. The required parties are:
- The business
- The training institution
To apply, the training institution must complete and submit the following forms:
- CTP Application; Attachment B (must submit with application)
- Sample Contract with Terms and Conditions
A Trainee Report is due to SBCTC after the training is completed.
