Continuous Training: Accessibility Micro Courses
SBCTC offers the Accessibility Micro Courses in Canvas. These help you learn how to create accessible documents such as Word, PowerPoint, PDF and more. There are two foundational required courses titled, Understanding Accessibility and Accessible Design Concepts.
Sign up for the Micro Courses on the eLearning registration page.
In order earn badges, you must select the Accessibility Proponent Badge located inside the Pathways option within the Canvas Course Navigation.
SBCTC also offers a public version of the courses, which does not require registration called the Library of Accessible Resources.

The 2023 Web Accessibility Learning Lab
SBCTC and CATO (Committee for Accessible Technology Oversight) are offering a brand new training program called The Web Accessibility Learning Lab, or The WA Lab. This is cohort-based ten week intensive training program and WebAIM will provide technical training to participants. Learn more about The WA Lab on the What's New page!
This training ended in May 2023 and all teams submitted their Action Plans to SBCTC. Stay tuned for more information about the 2024 Web Accessibility Learning Lab.
BEdA Biennial Conference
Monica Olsson (SBCTC) and Susanne Weatherly (Edmonds) presented a two hour Accessible Design Concepts training to our our system's BEdA faculty and staff in July 2022.
