Our Programs

To keep up — and stay ahead — in the ever-changing workplace, education and skills training is a lifelong pursuit. Get the skills to go further in your career with a bachelor degree from a community or technical college. A bachelor's degree builds on the education and training from a two-year technical associate degree.

Washington state's community and technical colleges work closely with their communities to develop programs that will best serve students and employers. This list of bachelor's degrees under development is updated as colleges continue to create new programs with the assistance of the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.

Bachelor's Programs

Bachelor of Applied Science

Washington State’s community and technical colleges offer several BAS Programs. BAS Degrees emphasize technical or STEM subjects, and aim to provide students with practical skills directly applicable to their future careers, aligning with current industry demand. Graduates with a BAS degree are well-prepared for careers in fields such as engineering technology, healthcare management, information technology, and more.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN)

Student graduates of an associate nursing degree program who have received licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) are eligible to apply for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Registered Nurses are eligible to apply for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program offered at our community and technical colleges throughout the state. Many of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees build upon the statewide approved ADN MRP/DTA in Nursing offered by our community and technical college nursing programs.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS)

During the 2020-2021 legislative session, Washington State legislators passed Substitute Senate HB 5401, which permits community and technical colleges to offer a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree. Prior to this new legislation, Bellevue Community College was the only sector college permitted to offer a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree.

Per the legislation, community and technical colleges must apply to the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) to be approved to offer the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
